Over countless morning cups of coffee, father and son co-founders Bob and Will Ponturo dreamed about one day starting their own coffee company. For over seven years, will develop extensive experience in the coffee industry, and Bob’s 25+ years of experience in sales helped shape the vision of the business. In the spring of 2021, the idea was born to open a coffee roastery in Ridgefield, CT.

quartertone is a musical term representing the notes between the notes. To us, it represents an experimental approach to creating a coffee company. We apply this ethos in every decision we make, from our commitment to sustainability and support of the arts to the variety of coffees we meticulously source and roast.
